Molly Hassler is Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with an emphasis in Fibers and a Certificate in Community Arts. She is an interdisciplinary artist using large – scale sculptural fibers works, printing and dying techniques, and community arts engagement to communicate ideas surrounding queerness, nostalgia (or even nostalgia for nostalgia), and family.

Hassler has shown her work in solo and group exhibitions at Gluon Gallery, Real Tinsel, and Yours Truly Studio. She has also had her work featured in Duomo IV, Duomo V publications, and Urban Milwaukee. In 2016 and 2017 Hassler was awarded with the Elsa Ulbricht Scholarship and the Mary E. Deven Memorial Scholarship. Currently working at the UWM Center for Community-based Learning, Leadership, and Research as the Student Artist in Residence Coordinator, she instructs and manages five fine arts students carrying out residencies in Milwaukee Retirement Communities.
